A Trip to National Museum

                                                     National Museum
                                                           " a look on the past "

Last Wednesday, me and my girl Faye decided to have some historical trip but not the thing like going to historical places like Corregidor or something. That's too Expensive for us to travel there since we're only students. lol ...  The place where we went is the National Museum. It is located in Manila and it is very easy to go there. You can ride the LRT1 and go down to United Nation station and it is walkable through there.
Upon arriving on the museum, you will be entertained by some staffs of the museum. There is a fee of  P100.00 on adults if I'm not mistaken but here's the deal , if you are a student you can enter for only P30.00 which is quiet surprising. ^_^ And since we are students we only pay P30.00.  You can see the building of the national museum itself.

After paying, you have now the permit to go anywhere in the museum. The museum has 5 floors, but sadly when we came there the 5th floor is off limits. (I don't know if that's really an off limit or just for that time.) But still, the 4 floors left are big enough to explore. Faye really wanted to go there because she wants to see the spoliarium by Juan Luna but sadly we didn't manage to see it. Probably it is on one of those closed or off limits area that time.

First Floor
At the center of the building there's an open space where you can see the Ifugao house.

There's Faye enjoying the Ifugao house.

It's my turn now..

On the first floor you can find some old coins, plates, vases etc.

  An old coin

A collection of old coins

A vase which has a weird style

 A collection of plates

Also on the first floor you can find some vintage jar.. wew that place was kinda scary T_T  I dunno why. lol  Maybe I'm afraid that someone will come out on one of those jars probably a Sadako jar version. hahahaa.

Second Floor
Inside the museum they have an elevator which located on the center part where you can use to go to different floors. On the second floor, you will be able to see some different species of animals like butterflies, crabs, insects but of course they we're all dead and already preserved.

This Crab is a huge one..

This one is weird coz it's look like a rock

  A gecko (tuko)

A sea snake.  (I'm afraid of snakes wew! )

Some sea shells out there:

Also on the second floor you can find some old war equipments like cannons, compass etc and paintings.

Some Cannons that may be used before on a war.

Faye don't sit there someone might see you. ^_^

How I wish I can fire a cannon like this.

Some paintings

Look at that , take a picture on a painting. lol

A Replica of a boat.. (i like this one if only I can take it home)

I dunno why this book of Jose Rizal is here in this section but this book caught the attention of Faye.

On the third floor is quite a mixed of all the collection there's some old tools of people, old clothes, parts of boats etc.

This one is a stone

This one is Faye's favorite. It is made of shell that's based on what is written there, was an incidental made by people who were just eating the content of it.

Apparently as I said earlier the fifth and final floor was restricted . And some galleries are closed..

The National museum is a nice place to have a field trip for childrens and for the families to have bondings.
Overall it was a fun and a nice adventure to able to learn and saw those relics and historical artifacts. I surely love to go back there. Faye and I definitely enjoys our adventure to the National Museum.

Wait for next week for another post and adventure on how we  explore different places in Manila.
Thank You.
